Title: One Night In Buenos Aire
Series: N/A
Author: Amanda K. Byrne
Genre: Romance
Blurb: As a reward for a hard-won contract, best friends Drea and Joe head to Buenos Aires for sun, wine, and the tango. But their week of relaxation is off to an ominous start when a reservation mix-up leaves them with only one option: one room…and one bed. Exhausted from travel, the two friends figure it won’t be a big deal to share a bed for one night—right up until they wake wrapped around each other and seconds away from, well, you know. When the two decide to follow through on their impulse, they protect their friendship by agreeing that when the vacation’s over, the fling’s over. While Drea’s convinced it’s nothing more than a mutual itch, Joe discovers Drea might be everything he’s ever wanted. Now all he has to do is convince her that what happens in Buenos Aires doesn’t always have to stay in Buenos Aires.
Thoughts: Drea and Joe had never really looked at each as anything more than friends – neither has been pining away for the other – they just have been nothing more than friends. Until their trip to Buenos Aire. When they are sent on the trip as a reward, there is a mix-up with the hotel reservations leaving them sharing a room (I know – those hotels can just never get anything right!…LOL). The real problem with that is that they both wake up hot, horny, and in a compromising position. Will they ever be able to think of themselves as just friends again?
Drea wants to keep things as just friends – after all, why risk their friendship? Joe, however, has other ideas! Eventually, they reach an agreement – to have naughty, sexy fun – but only in Buenos Aire. After that, things go back to the status quo. The problem is will their time in Buenos Aire be enough – for either of them?
This was just a sweet, fun, light read – particularly if you’re a fan of the friends-become-lovers troupe. This one certainly didn’t set my kindle on fire with sexual tension, but it is a good, solid read nevertheless. The title doesn’t quite add up…they spend more than just one night there – but perhaps it is the one night that changes them indefinitely? Whatever, it’s a catchy title…:)
