My Thoughts:
Kennedy Fox has done it again! They’ve written another book that had me willingly giving up sleep to finish it! I did not put the book down until the end. It had everything I love. A friends to lovers slow burn romance, a swoony hero, a cast of characters that you find yourself loving just as much as the main characters, and in true Kennedy Fox fashion, enough suspense and drama to keep me at the edge of my seat until the very last page. Literally THE LAST PAGE!
Mason and Sophie’s story was more than I could have hoped for. It started with the incident that happened in the Baby Yours epilogue, and reliving it in Mason and Sophie’s perspective was even more heart wrenching. I love how this book started out when they first met and gave us glimpses into their lives over the years.
Mason was everything I’ve come to expect from a Kennedy Fox book boyfriend. He is kind, protective, and loving. He did frustrate me sometimes with how he treated Sophie, but the intentions behind his actions were coming from a good place, which became clear once he shared his past. Sophie is strong, talented, and loyal. She is an amazing sister and friend. Her story is so important. It shines a light on real issues that effect people and their relationships. At times it was heartbreaking, but it also showed how important one’s support system can be, and how wonderful Sophie’s sisters and group of friends are.
Mason and Sophie’s story unfolds slowly with just the right amount of angst, friendship, love, and moments that will have you SHOOK. I need the next book in this duet like yesterday!
