Thoughts: This was the first book I’ve read from Reus that is a stand alone – I’m used to reading either paranormal novels focused around shifters, or strictly romantic suspense. I was quick to snatch this one up, not only because Reus is one of my favorite authors (be it writing as Katie Reus, or under her alter pen name Savannah Stuart), but because this one sortof feel in between both genres – and because I was eager to see how Reus would write it. But what can I say? As usual, Reus hit it out of the park (so to speak)!
I loved this! I have read similar titles before, but (as always) no matter how much the blurb sounds like other things you may or may not have read in the past, Reus just always manages to stick her own signature on each and every book she writes. They always stand out to me, and Reus manages to separate her works from that of anything else. She consistently plugs out outstanding books. I know that when I am picking up one of her novels, that I am in for a great read. Period.
It was nice to see something a little different from Reus though. In this case think a mash up between her normal romantic suspense with a little bit of the paranormal thrown in (in this case, a little psychic abilities and dream-walking). A little different from her standard – but excellent just the same!
