Series: Shadows Book #2
Author: Jenna Ryan
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Blurb: Rosemary Sayer never wanted her second sight. Now it’s made her the target of a voodoo-obsessed madman. Back in the bayou, a former navy SEAL is her only ally-and soon, he’s much more. But, as the killer drives them toward a final reckoning, Rosemary and her lover are forced to question everything they think they know about themselves and each other….
Thoughts: This was an interesting read – it reminded me slightly of the old Silhouette Shadows series from years ago, particularly Anne Stuart’s works, mixed a little with Christine Feehan’s Ghostwalker’s series. It just had that kindof feel to it. It could be a little confusing at times, and this is definitely not a book you can just rush through. I definitely had to slow down a little and take my time with this one. While part of it may be that it is the second book in a series, I also felt it had to do with the complexity of the storyline. I was a little disappointed in the whole ‘suspense’ aspect of it, since it felt a little forced to me, but all in all a decent read.
