Tangled in Need by Nalini Singh

Title: Tangled in Need

Series: Psy/Changeling bk 11

Author: Nalini Singh

Genre: Paranormal

Adria, wolf changeling and resilient soldier, has made a break with the past—one as unpredictable in love as it was in war. Now comes a new territory, and a devastating new complication: Riaz, a SnowDancer lieutenant already sworn to a desperate woman who belongs to another.

For Riaz, the primal attraction he feels for Adria is a staggering betrayal. For Adria, his dangerous lone-wolf appeal is beyond sexual. It consumes her. It terrifies her. It threatens to undermine everything she has built of her new life. But fighting their wild compulsion toward one another proves a losing battle.

Their coming together is an inferno…and a melding of two wounded souls who promise each other no commitment, no ties, no bonds. Only pleasure. Too late, they realize that they have more to lose than they ever imagined. Drawn into a cataclysmic Psy war that may alter the fate of the world itself, they must make a decision that might just break them both.

Nalini Singh is a master storyteller who gets better with each book she writes. In her much anticipated next installment of her beloved psy/changeling series, she once again delivers a fabulous story.

In the aftermath of the battle between Henry Scott’s Pure Psy and the changelings, Nikita and Anthony there is a lot going on in this book.

The main story is between Adria and Riaz and while I liked their romance even through there is no mating bond between them their romance is exactly what they need for who they are.

The sparks that fly between Riaz and Adria are hot enough to make your pages catch fire, even when they want to kill each other. I do have to say that their relationship wasn’t one I was expecting. When they finally got together it looked like it was going to be great until a wrench is thrown into their relationship by appearance of Riaz’s mate, his married mate. I have to say that I loved how Riaz convinced Adria that he didn’t care that they didn’t have the mating bond.

What kept me reading however is all of the other stuff that happens in the book. All of the Arrows, LOTS of Aden and Vasic (which makes me really happy) plus some other arrows that are game changer. Then there is all the Hawke and Sienna scenes which are hilarious.

Then there is the Kaleb and the mystery surrounding the person he is looking for. Oh and the Ghost.

Overall this is a really good book that I devoured in one sitting and want will be reading again soon. If you love Nalini Singh then you won’t want to miss this book as it sets up what is going to happen next in the series.

Through the Night by Janelle Denison

Title: Through the Night

Series: Reliance Group bk 3

Author: Janelle Denison

Genre: Contemporary/Romantic Suspense

LADY LUCK

As the Executive Casino Hostess for The Onyx in Las Vegas, Valerie Downing is always on the lookout for the night’s biggest winners. When she spots a man—one of the sexiest she’s ever laid eyes on—generating huge excitement at the craps table, she knows she’s in luck. Her goal: To make sure the high rollers stay at her hotel, and that any further gambling is invested right back into the casino. His: To enjoy some other “perks” that Valerie might have to offer.

GAMBLING MAN

Turns out Chase Pierson is already a VIP guest who happens to be working with Valerie’s boss on a top-secret mission for the Reliance Group—one for which she too has been recruited. But Valerie, bold and gorgeous as she is, is first and foremost a professional. No fraternizing with Onyx clientele is her motto…and this hard-bodied, infuriatingly charming client is no exception. Even if Chase knows that the harder the hunt, the hotter the surrender.

I have been a fan of Janelle’s for years and loved her Wilde series so much I didn’t think that she would be able to top it. Man was I wrong. While I have enjoyed the first two books in this series I have absolutely loved this book.

From the moment that Chase and Valerie meet there is an instantaneous  connection/spark while Chase accepts it Valerie doesn’t which makes makes for some interesting sparks.

Both Chase and Valerie have been burned in the past and are leary about trusting someone. But they also can’t deny the intense feelings they have for each other, well at least Chase can’t.

As they go from Vegas, to San Fransisco, to Boca Raton, back to Vegas and then to Chicago while tracking a prize possession of Al Capone’s and trying to avoid Chase’s crazy ex-girlfriend. They both realize that they can’t throw away what they have with each other.

Chase is one of those heroes that you want as soon as they show up on the page and the more that you get to know him the more you want him. As Chase reveals his past to Valerie I wanted to reach in and comfort him, but that darn Valerie beat me to it.

Valerie reminds me of so many women I know here in Vegas. Women who have had something bad happen to them and come here to start a new life and create their own family. She’s got a hard shell but beneath that shes is someone that has a hard time letting someone in but once she does she loves them with everything in her.

If you like complex characters, treasure hunting and sexual tension that can set the pages on fir you won’t want to miss this book.

On a side note the treasure that Chase and Valerie is looking for is a part of mob history because Chase’s client wants to open a mob museum in Vegas. Recently the former Mayor of Vegas a former Mob lawyer in conjunction with the City of Las Vegas has opened a mob museum in downtown Las Vegas.

Hot Under Pressure by Louisa Edwards

Title: Hot Under Pressure

Series: Rising Star Chef bk 3

Author: Louisa Edwards

Genre: Contemporary

Loaded with the hottest dishes and sexiest chefs, the Rising Star Chef competition is about to boil over for one pair of all-star cooks who can’t stand the heat—of working so close together…

SHE’S THE ONE HE LEFT BEHIND

Henry Beck thought he’d already faced the toughest kitchen challenge of his life. After all, what could top sweating it out as a Navy cook on a submarine? But when he learns his competition for the title of Rising Star Chef is the sweet hippie girl he married…and left…ten years ago, the heat is on.

HE’S THE ONE SHE CAN’T FORGET

Now Beck and Skye Gladwell are going head to head in the finals…and sparking up old flames every time they touch. But Skye wants more than a win over the man who abandoned her when she needed him most—she wants a divorce! Then her sexy almost-ex makes a deliciously dangerous proposition. He’ll give in to her demands, but if his team wins the RSC, he has a demand of his own…one last taste of the only woman he ever loved.

I have only read one other book by Louisa and it wasn’t in this series and I have no clue why, as I devoured this book.

I love second chance love stories. There is just something about them that gets to me. Beck and Skye’s story especially. The reason for their separation was heartbreaking.

Having not read the other books in the series and I have to say that even though I haven’t read the other books in the series I didn’t feel like I was missing anything.  I also have to admit that one of my favorite tropes in romance is that of husbands and wives re-uniting and figuring out went wrong and how they can fix it to make sure it never happens again.

Beck is one of those characters that I absolutely love. He hasn’t had an easy life, but when he loves it’s with everything in him. When the event that caused him and Skye to stop talking and essentially caused the demise if their marriage happened he closed himself off from all feelings even to the point of convincing himself that he was no longer in love with her. However being back in the town where he fell in love with her has brought back all those feelings and memories he had for her.

I have to admit I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Skye. She seemed like a flaky whiny heroine, however after getting to know her I have to say she grew on me. The one thing I didn’t like was how she treated Beck in the event that caused their break-up and also now that he’s back in her life. She did however redeem herself in the end.

One of my absolute favorite scenes in the book is Beck’s love letter to Skye. I have to admit I cried as I read this because he ripped open all the wounds in his past and laid them open not only to Skye but to others.

If you have never read a Louisa Edwards book then this book is perfect one to start with, regardless of whether you have read the other books in the series.

The Last Boyfriend by Nora Roberts

Title: The Last Boyfriend                                            Series: Inn at Boonsboro bk 2                                 Author: Nora Roberts                                                  Genre: Contemporary

Owen is the organizer of the Montgomery clan, running the family’s construction business with an iron fist—and an even less flexible spreadsheet. And though his brothers bust on his compulsive list-making, the Inn BoonsBoro is about to open right on schedule. The only thing Owen didn’t plan for was Avery McTavish…

Avery’s popular pizza place is right across the street from the inn, giving her a first-hand look at its amazing renovation—and a newfound appreciation for Owen. Since he was her first boyfriend when they were kids, Owen has never been far from Avery’s thoughts. But the attraction she’s feeling for him now is far from innocent.
As Avery and Owen cautiously take their relationship to another level, the opening of the inn gives the whole town of Boonsboro a reason to celebrate. But Owen’s hard work has only begun. Getting Avery to let down her guard is going to take longer than he expected—and so will getting her to realize that her first boyfriend is going to be her last…
From the moment that I discovered romance books and Nora she has always been a favorite of mine and I have always loved her stories. Some I have liked more than others but she has always delivered for me. Especially as her books are always centered around family. Whether its a family they are born to or one of their own making.
When I read the first book in this series The Next Always I had a feeling that this was going to be one of THOSE series for me. You know the ones I’m talking about, one that when you are looking for a nice warm love story with no major drama. That is going to be how this series for me.
Owen and Avery have known each other their entire lives. Their dad’s were best friends and except for a brief time when they were kids they have never thought of each other as anything more than friends. That is until they share a very explosive kiss.
Watching as these Avery and Owen go from being friends to lovers was really nice. They didn’t rush into it. they took their time and thought about how it would impact not only them but their families.
One of my favorite scenes is when Owen decides to throw a party at the last minute, and Avery laughs at him. This is not Owen he has spreadsheets when he plans a party, but he wants the time with Avery.  It’s really sweet and Avery being Avery helps him out, because she wants the same thing to spend time with him.
There is also the rest of their families and the secondary stories that Nora is famous for having regarding her secondary cast. We get more of Becket and Clare, Hope and Ryder are still butting heads and there is something going on with Avery’s dad and Owen’s mom.
Overall I have to say that this book lives up to everything I expect from one of Nora’s books.

Captivated by Lauren Dane

Title: Captivated

Series: Phantom Corps bk 3

Author: Lauren Dane

Genre: Erotic Futuristic

Vincenz Fardelle, exiled son of the Supreme Leader of the Imperialist Universe, has spent much of the last ten years working to stop the threat his father poses. But he’s not alone in his quest. Julian Marsters has lost his best friend and countless others in the war and has made vengeance his only goal.  In each other, Julian and Vincenz find not only like minds, but kindred spirits.
However unexpected their relationship, everything changes for Vincenz and Julian when Hannah Black comes into their lives. Having been captured and held in near total isolation by imperialist troops, their immediate response is to protect her.

Emotionally shattered but resilient, Hannah rebuilds herself.  Because of the warm safety she finds in the arms of Julian—and Vincenz—she becomes someone harder, stronger and bent on preventing the Imperialists from harming anyone else.

For the two men, wrestling with their passionate feelings for Hannah is only the beginning. War is about to send all three into harm’s way and an equally dangerous secret could tear them apart.

The quote on the cover of this book says “Hot, hot, hot….Don’t walk; run to read” by Carly Phillips. After having read this book in one day I have to say that I agree completely with Carly’s feelings on the book.

This is one of those books that sweeps you in and takes you away to another world from the very first page. I was completely captivated by the relationship between Vincenz and Julian as a couple (which I normally don’t read but absolutely loved in this book) and how they made room for Hannah in their family.

Vincenz and Julian have been a couple for a while now (I’m not sure how long as they get together in Mesmerized and are very much a unit at the beginning of this book). Because Julian and Vin are already together we don’t see how they came together, but how they work as a unit. When it comes to Hannah they are most definitely a unit.

Hannah has been through the ringer and her journey to healing is not an easy one but both Julian and Vin are determined to be there for her. Through their actions they slowly bring her out and help her to heal.

There is so much good stuff in this book that I honestly have no clue where to even start. I normally don’t read and like stories where the main couple are men however the way that Lauren writes them I forget that they don’t appeal to me and find myself in love with them. Which is what happened with these two very delicious men.

The scenes between them were delicious and steamy, for a lot of reasons but the one that came through to me was that they eased the rough edges in each other. By the time that Hannah joins them in that aspect of their relationship the feelings that they all have are cemented in stone.

The road to HEA however isn’t easy for these three. They are in the midst of a very nasty war, Hannah is recovering from being held captive for almost a year, Vin is the son of the man they are fighting, and Julian is still dealing with the death of his best friend.

One of the things that I really enjoy about Lauren’s books is that the story doesn’t take place over a short amount of time but over months, and while we don’t see everything that happens we see the important things and know that what we are seeing builds the story and shows us exactly who Vin, Julian and Hannah are and how their relationship is progressing.

This is one of those books that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading it, at least it did for me.

Lucky in Love by Jill Shalvis

Title: Lucky in Love

Series: Lucky Harbor bk 4

Author: Jill Shalvis

Genre: Contemporary

Mallory Quinn has had enough of playing it safe. As a nurse and devoted daughter, she takes care of everyone but herself. And as the local good girl, she’s expected to date Mr. Right. But for once, she’d like to take a risk on Mr. Wrong. And who could be more wrong than Ty Garrison? The mysterious new guy in town has made it clear that he’s only passing through, which suits Mallory just fine. Besides, his lean, hard body and sexy smile will give her plenty to remember once he’s gone…

For the first time in his life, Ty can’t bear to leave. Helping this sexy seductress-in-training walk on the wild side is making him desire things he shouldn’t including leaving the military for good. As their just-for-fun fling becomes something more, Mallory and Ty wonder if they could really be this lucky in love. After all…anything can happen in a town called Lucky Harbor.

One of my go to contemporary authors is Jill Shalvis. Her stories are always well written with a story that is real and honest. Her characters are real men and women who aren’t perfect, in fact they are very much flawed and yet together they make each other better.

I have been in love with Lucky Harbor from the very first book Simply Irresistible. So when Jill announced that she was writing more books in this series I did little happy dance of joy. I didn’t care who the story was going to be about, I just wanted more of this town and the residents who care about one another.

In Head Over Heels we were introduced to three new guys “Mysterious Cute Guy” was one of them. Man was he intriguing. Who was he? What was his story? In Lucky in Love we get those answers.

Who was he? A friend of Matt (the Forest Ranger and hero of the next book in this series), a former Navy SEAL (I love SEAL heroes). What is his story? I’m not going to tell you, you have to read the book to discover this and it’s very much worth it. Trust ME (Have I ever steered you wrong when it comes this?)

Watching as Ty (Mysterious Cute Guy) goes from a recluse who only wants to get back to his life (still not telling you why he’s a recluse), come out and help Mallory time and time again. Even when he knows he isn’t good for her.

Mallory however is tired of being the good girl and with the help of her friends Amy and Grace (their the heroines of the next two books) she starts to go after what she wants and not what everyone expects of her. One of the things she wants is Ty. She knows he’s not sticking around. He’s made that clear.

There is a lot about this book that I loved. How without being aware of it Ty and Mallory help each other deal with events in their pasts, all the while unable to stay away from each other because they are drawn to each other (man are they drawn to each other). The ease with which they are with each other. It’s not complicated. There is no drama between them. Once scene imparticular is my favorite. Mallory knows that Ty is leaving, however she still goes to see him…

‘Your pretty amazing, you know that?”

“Yeah.” He flashed his own small smile. “Too bad you dumped my sorry ass.”

She looked at him for a long beat, “I might have been too hasty on that,” she whispered. “Twice now.”

“Is that right?”

“Yeah. Because your ass is anything but sorry.”

He gave her a smile….

This was just one of the scenes between them. Then there’s how Mallory knows that Ty loves her. Its a matter of actions speaking louder than words, so when Ty finally confesses his love for her, it’s really sweet. Plus is involves a sweet ride a ’68 Shelby (DH’s dream car)

There is one person I wanted to reach into the book and slap and that was Ella Mallory’s mom. She wasn’t a good mom for most of the book and it isn’t until something happens that she realizes she is to blame for a lot of the issues Mallory has. Also the couples from the first three books don’t make an appearance except for Sawyer because he’s the sheriff. While I wished they’d been there I understand that this is a new story arc in the series and it didn’t detract from the story at all.

This is one of those books where the love story/romance isn’t complicated. In fact it’s really normal. I loved that about it. No major angst. Just two people falling in love and having to decide what they want in their future.

If your a fan of this series you won’t want to miss this book.

Karma by Carly Phillips

Title: Karma

Series: Serendipity bk 3

Author: Carly Phillips

Genre: Contemporary

Police Officer Dare Barron has had a crush on Liza McKnight ever since he was a teenager. But despite his lifelong attraction, the closest he’s ever come to interacting with her is watching Liza regularly bail out her brother at the station.

Dare’s dark past with Liza’s brother, Brian, has always kept him from pursuing her. But suddenly Liza finds herself in need of protection and Dare appoints himself as the man for the job.  And while the sizzling attraction between Dare and Liza draws them together, the past that Dare and Brian share threatens to keep the two apart forever.

Carly Phillips has once again delivered a gripping story full of everything you could want in a great romance story.

I have made no bones about the fact this is my favorite series of Carly’s. I have been in love with the Barron Brothers from book one and fallen more in love with them in each book. Ethan with his guilt and determination, Nash and his anger, and Dare the one we all thought was the undamaged brother. Which we discovered in Destiny (Nash’s book) wasn’t the truth.

Of all the brothers Dare is the most scared by the past. (If you haven’t read Destiny you HAVE to before you read this book). From the timeline of the past I think the two events that changed these brothers the most happened very close together. Dare is full of anger and hate towards one person Brian McKinght. Only he has a bigger problem, Brian’s sister Liza. The girl that Dare has had a crush on since he was teen-ager.

Liza is one of the best heroines I have read in awhile. She isn’t perfect. She is just as damaged as Dare (only for different reasons that you need to read the book to find out why). She is also very aware of the fact that she helps to enable her brother in his self-destruction. But she can’t turn her back on him. For one he’s her brother and the one other really good reason (you need to read the book to find out why).

Dare and Liza both think the other one hates the other. Which couldn’t be further from the truth. They want each other so bad the pages fairly smoke with their sexual tension. I would venture to say that this is one Carly’s HOTTEST books. WOW!! I and I MEAN WOW!! Those scenes!! You will know what I’m talking about when you get to them.

Both Dare and Liza are very flawed characters who have been shaped by events in their childhood and teens and have created these walls around them. But they also recognize that there is something between them. It just a matter of letting the other one in. Liza I have to say does a great job of letting her walls slowly come down. That is until her brother does something that makes Dare pull back and her walls go slamming up.

One of my favorite parts of the book was when Ethan and Nash would tease Dare about how he was falling for Liza, and then when Dare screws up how they let him know what an ass he’d been and that he had to fix it.

The resolution of the conflict between Liza and Dare is one of the most poignant ones I’ve read in while. Once you know the reason why Dare hates Brian you will understand.

In case you missed it I LOVE this book. I do know that I can’t wait for the last Barron sibling to grow up so we can see what happens with her.

This is definitely a series that every romance fan should have on their shelf. Both the e-shelf and print shelf. I know I will.

Bared to You by Sylvia Day

Title: Bared to You

Series: Crossfire bk 1

Author: Sylvia Day

Genre: Erotic

Our journey began in fire…

Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness–beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…

Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds… and desires.

The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn’t tear us apart…

From the minute I read the excerpt from this book I had to read to it. I didn’t know what it was about just that with an excerpt like that it was going to be good.   I have NOT read the 50 Shade of Grey series, but I have had many discussions with authors and readers about them, and this book because they are similar in style. By style I mean that they are told in first person and that Gideon lives a BDSM lifestyle in that he is Dominant and needs a submissive sexual partner.

I read this book on the way home from Disney Land and I couldn’t put it down. The relationship between Gideon and Eva is not an easy one at all. In fact there are times when it is down right difficult to read. However one of the things I absolutely loved was that both of them were damaged.

There is a lot I can say about this book, but I feel if I say to much about it I will be taking away from the book. This book is told in first person and from Eva’s perspective.

One of the things that I absolutely love about Sylvia Day and her writing is that there is always more to her characters than you think there or assume there is. Especially Gideon. While on the surface he looks like a powerful man who has everything in control he isn’t. There are things in his past that have shaped him and made him the way he is. Some of those things he isn’t even aware of. One thing he knows for certain however is that he has to have Eva in his life and will do whatever she needs him to do so that they can be together.

Eva comes from a two different worlds. Her mother is a rich socialite who lives in New York and her dad is a cop who lives in CA. However her life hasn’t been easy. In fact she has had something really horrific happen to her that changed her life and brought her best friend Cary into her life.

As Gideon and Eva work to build a relationship that is healthy and stable they have a lot of things that they have to work through. His past, her past, Cary and his issues but they are willing to work through them so that they can be together.

This is one of those books that I’m glad I read and I can’t wait to see what happens next to Gideon and Eva.

The Witness by Nora Roberts

Title: The Witness

Author: Nora Roberts

Genre: Contemporary

Daughter of a controlling mother, Elizabeth finally let loose one night, drinking at a nightclub and allowing a strange man’s seductive Russian accent lure her to a house on Lake Shore Drive. The events that followed changed her life forever.

Twelve years later, the woman known as Abigail Lowery lives on the outskirts of a small town in the Ozarks. A freelance programmer, she designs sophisticated security  systems—and supplements her own security with a fierce dog and an assortment of firearms. She keeps to herself, saying little, revealing nothing. But Abigail’s reserve only intrigues police chief Brooks Gleason. Her logical mind, her secretive nature, and her unromantic viewpoints leave him fascinated but frustrated. He suspects that Abigail needs protection from something—and that her elaborate defenses hide a story that must be revealed.

There is a reason that 200 books later Nora Roberts is the queen of romance. She knows how to craft a story with a hero and a heroine that make you fall in love with them, and a story that makes complete sense for them.

One of the things I really like about this book is that it starts when Liz is 16 and we get to see what caused Liz to rebel against her mother and set everything in motion. When it then moves to 12 years later her being the way she was made absolute perfect sense, because we saw how she was raised and why and how she went into hiding.

Brooks is one of those perfect Nora heroes. He’s confident and secure in who he is and what he wants. When he moved back home to become the sheriff of his small town he knew that it was time for the next phase in his life. When he meets Abigail he’s at first intrigued and then fascinated with.

The relationship between Abigail and Brooks was a seamless slide into love. While they had their fights (what couple doesn’t) he understands her and only pushes so far into her space, until she accepts him there and then he pushes some more.

The secondary cast of characters help to make this story that much better. Brooks parents and sisters, the other officers in his department, and the people that drive Brooks nuts in his town. They manage to bring another dimension to the story that makes Brooks and Abigail richer characters.

This book is the reason that I love Nora. She creates interesting characters, a plot and story line progression that is very seamless in its progression. As soon as I was done I wanted to start all over again.

Kiss of Pride by Sandra Hill

Title: Kiss of Pride

Series: Deadly Angels bk 1

Author: Sandra Hill

Genre: Paranormal

SOME MEN ARE TOO BAD TO BE TRUE…

Is he really a Viking with a vampire’s bit? An angel with the body of a thunder god? A lone wolf with love on his mind? Alexandra Kelly, his prey, thinks Vikar Sigurdsson is either flat-out crazy or he’s trying to maneuver her into his bed–which is hardly where a professional reporter should conduct an interview, tempting as that prospect might be.

SOME MEN ARE TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE…

Until Vikar does something a teensy bit unexpected, and Alex begins to wonder whether her mystery man could really be everything he says he is: a Viking Vampire Angel on a thousand-year-long mission with his pack of sinful brothers—and a man who’s finally found the woman of his dreams. By then, Vikar is already wrapping his chiseled arms around Alex’s body…and sinking his wicked fangs right into her neck. If this is sin, why does it feel so good?

Several years ago I called Melanie and asked her if she’d read any good books lately. She told I HAD to read Sandra Hill so I did. I have been hooked ever since. My favorite book of her’s is Pearl Jinx (who doesn’t love an ex-Amish ex-Navy SEAL treasure hunter who finds himself in his parents backyard and a meddling old cajun woman set on re-uniting him with his family). I have also loved the fact that Avon has been re-printing all her older books so that I can have a complete Sandra Hill library. When I heard she had a new series out I knew I had to read it. Because I knew 2 things 1) It was going to make me laugh and 2) the hero and the heroine were going to be great to watch. I wasn’t wrong.

Alex has one goal in life. To see the men who killed her daughter die. Viktor has one goal in life to avoid having pride and to make sure he has no more pre-marital sex. The Archangel Michael however has something else entirely in mind for both of these two.

I loved every minute of this book. Viktor and his band of Vangels were hilarious.  One of Viktor’s brother’s tells him about near sex which isn’t sex at all and he can do. And do with Alex. Alex thinks that Viktor is nuts. However she agrees to help him get his home ready for everyone’s performance reviews with the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Rapheal (Viktor and his brothers call them Mike, Gabe and Rafe). Then there is Jasper the bad guy. He’s antics are almost as fun as the Vangels. Also the secondary cast of characters are great as they add a lot of color and humor to the mix.

One of the things that Sandra does really well in mind is create great characters who are flawed and yet able to love. While there is a conflict between the hero and heroine it is one that can be believed. The resolution is also one where there has been growth and acceptance on both their parts. So while Viktor and Alex’s path to their HEA wasn’t smooth, in fact it was down right hard at times it is one that fits who they are perfectly.

If you have never picked up a Sandra Hill book then this is a good place to start. And it you like her as much I hope you will then go ahead and start on her Cajun Series because Tante Lulu isn’t to be missed :)
