Series: Off-Campus book #2
Author: Elle Kennedy
He’s a player in more ways than one…
College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he’s worth a second chance.
Now he’s going to need to up his game…
After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it. This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat…and she plans on driving him wild.
MY THOUGHTS:
(this is a new adult read without the immature feel that some books of this genre can have – I put this little disclaimer first because if I saw a book where the lead female was just turning 19 I would NOT buy it and read it. but since this is Elle Kennedy and she is an auto-buy author for me I read this book and it will go on my fave of 2015 list… I hate to think that there are readers out there that will miss this funny, sexy, heart-felt journey because they have pigeon holed an entire genre, like I sometimes do…)
Logan and Grace were the perfect fit from the start! They brought out things in the other that made them better people – lead each other to a life that they can share and be happy… something that John might not have let himself have other wise…
I wondered about 75% in how EK was going to redeem Wade Logan for me – I should have learned by now that she will NEVER let me down! I was a bawling mess as I read her words and the way she wraps up the HEA for this couple. and oh man! a “Two Years Later” epilogue? YES PLEASE!
Bring on Dean and Allie!! (where this matchup comes from I have NO IDEA but I cannot wait to see bad-boy Dean get tamed!)
