The Saint Who Stole My Heart By Stefanie Sloane

Title: The Saint Who Stole My Heart

Series: Regency Rogues bk 4

Author: Stefanie Sloane

Genre: Historical

Dashiell Matthews, Viscount Carrington, remembers little of Miss Elena Barnes beyond her slight build, mousy character, and bookish ways. Her unavoidable presence at Carrington House would be inconvenient, true, but a woman could hardly prove enough of a distraction to interfere with what was the most important case of Dash’s life—ferreting out the monster who’d murdered a dear friend’s mother many year before.

Dash would, of course, live to regret such an assumption.

As for Elena, a trip to London to retrieve a priceless book is troublesome, though not nearly as much as the feelings the viscount inspires in her. His touch elicits feelings from Elena that she’d only ever read about. Her skin tingles. Lord Hardwicke is as handsome as she remembered—actually, more so as he’d grown into his frame in a rather attractive manner—and as dim as a ha’penny tallow. Or is he? The more time Elena spends with the man, the greater her suspicions grow regarding his intellect and just what he might be up to as they’re thrown together in the search for an individual known only as the Rook.

Can true love save the day? Find out in the exciting and enthralling fourth installment of the Regency Rogues.

Elena Barnes was perfectly content with her life.

She was known to all as a blue stocking.

Elena had one season that went horribly as some people said it didn’t take. It haden’t helped that Elena was also a bit of a tomboy. She proved that by chasing off countless Governesses One with a frog. After the last one had left her father had seen fit to let her go on about her own business. Elena had her nose in a book since.

Until her father told her of his latest inheritance by the late viscount Carrington. Except there’s a catch Elena’s father had been ill and would unable to travel to see to the cataloging and packing of the books himself. Carrington’s library is known to be full of rare and wonderful books.Elena had met Dashiell Matthews the new Viscount and was not impressed but they had been young children at their last meeting.

Elena was not prepared to see that the child she had known now had the look of an Adonis, One who pretends to be completely brainless. Of course he’s no idiot he’s secretly a spy, A member of the young Corenthians.

Poor Elena who had never even had a kiss couldn’t figure out the mixed signals her body was sending her. There was no way she could possibly be interested in someone like him.

But Carrington Finds Elena much too interesting. He finds himself attracted to love of books not to mention her curvy figure.

What Makes Dash stop pretending to be an idiot? Elena finds a puzzle box in his fathers library. Not just any puzzle, A key to a mystery that dash and his friends have been trying to find for over a decade, The reason he had joined the young Corinthians in the first place.

It’s his father’s notes on the murder of his best friend’s mother, Lady Alford. Notes that lead to the leader of a spy ring. Notes that make his enemies, Elena’s enemies. and put her directly into the line of fire.

I loved this book once Elena sees who Dash truly is there is no way she can walk away from him. Dash tries to push Elena away for her own safety but while pushing her away he’s pulling her closer and true love prevails.
