Thoughts: Sidney Halston is an amazing author and I have absolutely loved every book in this series! While they are all great romantic, MMA themed books, they each manage to hold their own – apart from the series – and have their own distinct tales. In Laid Out, we get the tale of Cain and Violet…a theme that (aside from the MMA) manages to hit a couple more of my favorite reads and/or themes – teenage crushes that manage to withstand the years and best friends who struggle with their desire for more.
Surprisingly enough, these two were just so stubborn it started driving me crazy…LOL I just wanted to smack some sense into them! But no matter – it’s still a great addition to this amazing series! If you haven’t nabbed a book by Sidney Halston, I definitely recommend her – and especially this series if you are a fan of MMA reads!
