Blurb:   When members of a United Nations joint security force are taken hostage by radical terrorists in Indonesia, Captain Ezekiel Fortunes is called to lead the rescue team. Part of a classified government experiment, Zeke is a supersoldier with enhanced abilities. He can see better and run faster than the enemy, disappear when necessary and hunt along any terrain. There are those in the world willing to do anything for power like that…

A formidable spy genetically engineered to hide in plain sight, Bellisia rarely meets a man who doesn’t want to control her or kill her. But Zeke is different. His gaze, his touch—they awaken feelings inside her that she never thought possible. He’s the kind of man she could settle down with—if she can keep him alive…

Thoughts:  It’s no secret that many fans of Christine Feehan have been dissatisfied with most of her recent books – with various reasons why.  If you follow my reviews then you know that I have also been somewhat discontent.  This may just be the book that changes all that.  I was fed up with the Dark series somewhere around Book # 23.  I was holding out on some of the other series, but had the fear that they were slowly declining for me as well.  The Ghostwalker series also seems to be faltering – I was a big fan of Spider Game, the last release, however this one sounded so interesting I couldn’t help it.  I had to pick it up.  And?  The book was so good that it has renewed my faith in this author.

The book was so good that I find myself wanting to go back and read the books that I have missed from other series – including the Dark series.  This book has the spark that I was missing from this author.  I loved Belliisia and her ‘power’, I loved Ezekiel who was her perfect match, I loved the story, and most of all I loved the writing.  Best book from Feehan and in a while – I will anxiously be awaiting whatever comes out next!
