Ok confession time, the only time I read reviews is after I have either a)already written my review of said book b) its a new to me author and c) if the book has been talked about a lot on twitter. I do this for a few reasons but the number one reason is because I don’t want my review to be influenced by other reviews.
Why did I just say this? Because I have been hearing people have been bashing this book. I got this book for Christmas and finally got around to reading today and I have to say of all the MM novellas I’ve read I think I enjoyed this one the most. The reason being it wasn’t all about the sex. It was about their relationship.
I loved how the focus was on the relationship between Chris and Matt and how the pushy members of Chris’s family were determined to make sure he got his happily ever after. One of my favorite scenes was when Dare and Trace went to talk to Matt about Chris and what he really does. As this is a bone of contention between them and their road to HEA.
This is a really short cute story where we get to see on of our favorite secondary characters get his HEA. I didn’t need anymore than I got for this story to work for me.
