Thoughts: What can I say? This is classic Diana Palmer. I have always enjoyed her as a writer, however some books do stand out a little more than others for me. I’ve heard many readers complain that she has a certain theme (virginal young ladies falling for bitter men who don’t have a great opinion of women), and it’s a lot like reading the same story over and over again with only slight variations and name changes. While I can understand their point of view, Palmer always weaves a great tale for me. The theme works, and no matter what Palmer is an amazing talent. Some of her titles are constant re-reads of mine that I hunt down periodically because they are simply that good.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t one of the stand out titles for me. This one reads like a lot like a carbon copy of some of her other titles – and is one that will simply get lost amongst many of her other titles in my book collection. It’s a good read, of course, just like anything by her – but won’t make my list of favorites.
