The elite operative’s quiet strength and raw magnetism affect her in ways she’s never felt before, a distraction that can quickly turn deadly in their dangerous line of work.

After putting his tragic past behind him, Trevor is ready to focus on his future—and he damn well intends for Isabel to be in it. And as they attempt to save their team in a world where the stakes are high and the danger is grave, Trevor must convince Isabel that the woman beneath all the disguises is the one worth having….

Thoughts:  What can I say? This series is so amazing that I have been binge reading them all (up to the ARC for Midnight Captive which is due out June 2nd) – and have finished them all in less than a week. It’s simply impossible to read one without moving forward onto the next book. There is just this amazing draw to all the characters and you just have to see how things turn out!

In the case of Midnight Games, it so did not go the way I thought it would – the impression I received before now was that Isabelle would be the one fighting to have a relationship with Luke, while Luke would be the one skittish and running from his feelings – thanks to the events up till now when he lost his wife. Instead, the tables have turned and Isabelle is the one on the run, hiding from her own emotions. I was a bit leery at first, since I had trouble connecting with Isabelle – but be the end it was a moot point. I have to say, I was so caught up in this that by the end I actually caught myself shedding a tear or two (which is rare for me). Just more proof positive that this author is nothing short of amazing! I LOVE this series!
