Series: Billionaire Bargains Book #1
Author: Erin Nicholas
Blurb: The best doesn’t come cheap…and this time it could cost him his heart. Handsome billionaire Adam Steele is good. Good at getting his way. If nothing else, money always works—until he realizes he can’t buy his daughter’s way out of her new wheelchair. Three private physical therapists later, he’s almost given up on Emily walking again. Then he meets Dr. Jaden Monroe. And his match. Feisty physical therapist Jaden Monroe has never met a man quite like Adam. She’s not sure if it’s his I’m-in-charge attitude or the heat in his eyes when he looks at her, but she finds herself wanting to say yes to anything he asks. Like when he asks her to help his daughter walk again. Of course, the million dollars he offers—just enough to finish the pediatric rehab wing Jaden has been working for and dreaming of—is hard to say no to as well. But Jaden didn’t anticipate a teen whose injuries are more than physical. Or a man so passionate and devoted—and as tenacious as she is. As she and Adam fight their attraction ,the only thing harder than keeping her promise will be keeping a hold on her heart. This book has been previously published and has been expanded from its original release. Warning: Contains heated arguments that erupt only slightly more often than hot kissing, a new perspective on kitchen appliances, and sizzling sex occurring everywhere BUT the bedroom (though they eventually make it there).
Thoughts: I was a little late on discovering the bright star that is Erin Nicolas – my first book by her was She’s The One, her first title in the Counting On Love series. Only then did I read it as ‘research’ for the blog here at The Book Reading Gals, since I was asked to host a book chat and I wanted to be familiar with the book. I loved the book (of course!) – and I loved hosting that book chat and getting to know Erin personally (still one of the best authors I know!) – as well as getting to know all our followers of the blog! Since then, I have made it a point to go back and read some of her other books – as well as try to keep up with her new ones – which is a challenge since she is constantly putting out book after book! J Fans of hers will recognize this one as a re-issue – but it comes out in time to get it ready to expand it into a new series! However, for me it is still new either way!
Honestly, I loved the whole scope and aspect of this story. I think one of the very first romance novels I first picked up was about physical therapist working with children who fell in love with the father of one of her patients, and since then this has been a theme I’ve been rather fond of. Of course, that was years ago, and that book had nothing on this one! Erin’s unbelievable talent holds true in this one, and it is interesting to see Jaden hold her own against Adam – and stay true to the values of what she believes in and the best interest of her patient, regardless to the personal hardships it meant for her. It was a beautiful story with great characters and just another great novel by Erin – can’t wait to read the others in the series!
The second book in the series, What Matters Most is out now, with the third, All That Matters due out on Feb 10, 2015!
